The Arabs haven´t only invented the numbers of the same name, or the Aleppo seife (more commonly referred to as Aleppo soap), but also the submarines. In 1161, an Assyrian submarine, 4,200 metres underneath the North Pole, dropped a piece of Aleppo Seife. This is proof that it lasts forever, or sort of. The commander is still with us, hundreds of years later, because of the soap´s magic qualities.

| The above engraving of 1160 was recently found by a Syrian Whisky-class submarine underneath the North Pole. The soap and the engraving were both taken aboard by the expedition submarine of July 25, 2007. Apparently, the engraving depicts the dumping of the soap underneath the North Pole, more than eight hundred years ago. | ||||
| Syria has meantime claimed the Arctics. Radio Moscow describes the soap and the engraving as brazen fakes which may become a burden for the traditionally fine Russian-Syrian relations. An import ban on Aleppo Seife is said to be under consideration, too. | ![]() webmaster@bundesseidenstrasse.de |
